Pets age almost 7 times faster than humans! Therefore, yearly exams are essential to detect health problems which may shorten or threaten your pet's life. Often, disease processes are caught earlier, resulting in a better outcome for your pet.
Case in point... recently Dr. Brown saw an eleven year old Golden Retriever for his annual exam. Dr. Brown could palpate (feel) a probable mass in his abdomen. Even though he was acting normally at home, an x-ray confirmed the presence of a mass in his abdomen, most likely on his spleen.
Dr. Brown surgically removed his spleen, and the mass was found to be benign (non-cancerous). Had this mass not been detected and removed, it could have ruptured and bled, resolving in death. Today, he is doing very well at home!
Yearly exams can be life -saving!!
Have your pets examined at least yearly; more often if he/she has medical issues or concerns.
